Services Provided:
School Ready Kids offers professional support services for children and young people, including:
Access Arrangements assessments for exam support
Drawing and Talking Therapy (12-session model)
Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) support and reintegration planning
These services are provided on a private basis and are chargeable to parents/carers via BACS.
1. Booking and Consent
Before any service begins, written consent will be obtained from a parent or legal guardian by email to confirm:
The service(s) requested and fee.
The intended goals or outcomes
Parents and Guardians confirming by email, automatically agree to these Terms and Conditions
2. Fees and Payment
Fees will be communicated clearly in advance of any work taking place.
Invoices will be issued via email and are payable by bank transfer within 7 days of the invoice date and before the service is offered.
Services will not start if payments are not completed.
3. Cancellations and Missed Sessions
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged at 50% of the session fee.
Missed sessions without notice will be charged in full.
If I need to cancel a session for any reason, I will give as much notice as possible and offer an alternative time or full refund for that session.
4. Confidentiality
All sessions and assessments are conducted in a confidential and respectful manner. Please refer to the Safeguarding Statement. However, the following exceptions apply:
If there is a safeguarding concern regarding the child’s safety or wellbeing
If there is a legal obligation to disclose information
With your consent, to share information with schools or other professionals involved in supporting your child
Drawing and Talking Therapy is a non-intrusive model. The content of drawings and conversations will not be interpreted or reported unless there is a safeguarding concern.
5. Data Protection (GDPR)
All information is handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant UK data protection legislation.
Personal data will only be collected, stored, and shared for the purpose of delivering the agreed services.
Records are stored securely and retained for the minimum period required by law or professional standards.
You have the right to request access to the data held about your child at any time.
6. Reports and Documentation
For Access Arrangements, a full report will be provided to parents following assessment. This may be shared with the school and the SENCo, with your consent, to support formal exam access requests.
Reports or session summaries will not be provided for Drawing and Talking Therapy unless a safeguarding concern arises.
EBSA support may include brief written summaries, planning documents, or strategies shared with you and/or the school as agreed.
7. Parental Involvement
Active parental engagement is key to supporting your child’s progress. You may be asked to:
Share relevant background or educational history
Be involved in planning and review discussions
Liaise with the school, where appropriate, to coordinate support
8. Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of children is always the highest priority. Any safeguarding concerns will be followed up in line with current UK safeguarding procedures and may be referred to the appropriate agency. Please refer to the Safeguarding Statement.
9. Complaints Procedure
If you have a concern or complaint about the service provided, please raise it in writing as soon as possible. I will respond promptly and work with you to resolve the issue professionally and fairly.
10. Amendments to Terms
These terms may be reviewed and updated as necessary. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
